L Black retired from Veterans Review Board on his 65th birthday and continued to work for the RSL with the State Victorian president Bruce Ruxton & Blacks good friend Dr Gardner who was a pilot in the battle of Britain. Lawrence received the US submarine combat pin, because he had been inserted by American submarine named the rock behind Japanese lines. Gentleman and officer who was one of the last soldiers to received his rank during combat duty, hands-on officer he had plenty of practical experience. Today Australian offices are trained at military college and have no war experience or practical experience all theory. Lawrence passed away at the age of 86 of a heart attack at Sandringham Hospital in the city of Melbourne Australia.

Australian Special Forces Afghanistan.

Some Australian special forces have been accused of the oldest trick in the book, also used by many bad police around the world. In this case allegations the same AK-47 fully automatic Russian military rifle was used against Australian special forces. This AK-47 was pictured with the bodies of 2 different civilians killed in 2012 at Shina by Australian special forces. Most bad and stupid Australian special force war-criminal get caught, they used to face the firing squad some when to prison. Smart war criminals cover their tracks well so don’t get caught and no jail prison sentence no firing squad. They say about $830 billion US taxpayers money spent by the U.S. Defense Department on the war, training Afghani troops reconstruction.

Thanks to Australian special forces and military and all that hard earned Australian tax payers money, now the old Afghan Chiefs have Australian military equipment seized or left behind. Afghani troops ride in first world high tech military 4×4 drives, luxury American made Humvees. Now the old Afghan Chiefs and their soldiers have American design famous M-16s, can take out an Australian special forces soldier much easier then the old Russian AK-47 fully automatic rifle the Afghans had, prior the 20 years US intervention and Australian special forces and military.

Australian special forces died in Afghanistan for what tax payers money down the gurgler, Pakistan Taliban must be laughing. Media says Biden addressed the Saigon parallels. Many Australian conscripts forced to go to war in Vietnam remember the chaos state of anarchy left behind, people lifted from the roof of an US embassy in Saigon Vietnam. US soldiers being sent to Afghanistan to evacuate embassy staff from Kabul. As the previous old leaders Afghanistan perform amazing blitz screen towards the Capital of Kabul, must be very painful for Australian special forces, memories of the fall of they fail war in Saigon as well, knowing and worked with Afghanistan and becoming very good mates but now abandoned many could be tortured and executed as traders. Claims the captured Afghanistan’s second city Kandahar has fallen, only small pockets of territory under government control.

Australian Commando Lieutenant Lawrence S Black received MiD gallant meritorious action facing Japanese enemy. Lawrence name appears in military official report sent to the high command.

Lawrence Sydney Black Z Special Unit of the Services Reconnaissance Department, was the forerunner of today’s Australian special forces or SAS. Black was a volunteer and enlisted in the Australian army in 1942 at the age of 21 but later on he was asked by an officer, as he was selected to join a group of soldiers. Black did not know he was volunteering to join the SAS, none of the new they were going to be special forces and work behind enemy lines.
Lawrence narrowly escaped beheading by the Japanese enemy in World War II, as the Lieutenant lead operation Starfish behind enemy lines to Indonesia, the island opposite Bali now a very famous tourist location. Lombok island was where Black and the commander landed, two of the commandos were caught because they were wounded and could not escape.
Black and another soldier were chased for days by hundreds of Japanese soldiers, before they escaped as they were able to contact by radio the crew of a Catalina flying boat. At the end of the war some Australians went back to Indonesia Lombok to bring back the remains of the two soldiers, unfortunately found remains they had been beheaded. Ironic today’s Bali is maybe still the most popular overseas tourist resort for Australians, and Lombok Straits has possibly one of the longest surf breaks in the world that many Australians today visit and love to surf. At the end of the war Black conducted the last operation for Australian special forces destroying supply at very secret locations in the Indian Ocean. He was discharged in December 1945, still served to October 1946 as a troop instructor for Australian troops to Japanese Occupation Force.

Lawrence A Gentleman And Officer Later Executive.

June 1946 he married Joyce Clayton and after the war joined Coles in Sydney and was quickly promoted to executive at company’s head office in Melbourne as he moved from Sydney to Victoria. Ironic he was sent to Japan a few times after the war to purchase toys for Coles, and met and talked to men that were the old enemy. Lawrence Black said they all got along very well no problems.

Photograph Lawrence Black and 2 of his 3 brothers below on the same war memorial Plack, all 3 of Lawrence brothers served in World War II. Lawrence third brother Harold passed away in 2021 the age of 97. Harold Black was the person who originally found all his 3 brothers separate plaques, with only single names in different positions in the cemetery. Harold contact the correct body and with a lot of correspondence letters asked to have the 3 brothers all placed on one Plack in one location.

When the last brother passed away in 2021, Harold last wish was for his oldest daughter Carol Black, that took care of most of her parents affairs in the last years of her father’s life. Contacted the correct authority to have her father’s wishes details placed on the same World War II memorial Plack. Unfortunately Carol’s request was knock back even though Harold also fitted the same criteria as his other 3 brothers.

Carol contacted the review board so hopefully the review board will grant Harold Black his last dying wishes? Most Australian citizens would think Harold World War II effort and details will be on the same Plack as his brothers in arms in the famous Memorial war Gardens in Sydney Australia. But no wonder so many diggers are rolling in their graves and did not care about having funerals or what happened to there ashes, as many thought they army mates that died in wars that fought for our freedom. Were simply ripped off and wasted their lives what freedom now. Lawrence Black left in his will for his next of kin, to never mind about his ashes at the crematorium and just flush them down the toilet.

Australian special forces in 1942 late afternoon on the 9th ww2 came to Lombok Island Indonesia the Japanese need it to prevent entry access from Australia Navy personnel and military forces returning to Singapore through Lombok channel, between Bali and Lombok. This is the only deep water passage from Indian Ocean to the Java sea. The Japanese military could prevent American and all submarines including British Dutch and Australians, travelling back and forwards to each other’s country. The fast sometimes very dangerous Ocean current’s force submarines to surfers. Japanese virtually control the oceans in south-east Asia to Australia. Japanese slave labour was forced to dig 3 caves, 2 on the hills around Lombok Island had big German made cannons, battery in placement with reinforced concrete. The third cave was for storage supplies food ammunition and dormitory for Japanese soldiers. There was another 2 big cannons 1 position at south west Lombok coast at a place called Bangok Bangko. Another battery placement on the hill of Gili Trawangan looking out towards today is very famous international tourist location of Bali. The Japanese were able to defend the island as they had mini machine gun emplacements everywhere, Japanese fighter zeros planes patrolled the skies regularly along with Navy patrols of the islands.

The Japanese big guns could take out allies shipping passing the straight of Lombok to Australia. Lori silk maps and Japanese occupation money and servile kit gave to the Australian Commando Association. David kept his fathers dagger but he should pass that on also.
